Camp Lookout Workday
Camp Lookout will have a work day on February 25 from 7:30 am - 3 pm. There will be a number of tasks to be accomplished from painting to clean up to splitting logs.

March Forth for Children
The Holston Conference Children’s Ministry Team is pleased to announce March Forth for Children 2012, March 2-3 at Cokesbury Center in Knoxville. The two day children’s ministry conference will be helpful to volunteers, professional workers, parents, pastors and anyone who loves children. Over 20 quality workshops with excellent leadership will be offered. Mark Burrows, a nationally recognized writer, composer, clinician and director of children’s ministries in Ft Worth, TX, will teach creative ways to engage children in worship. Chattanooga District UMM Rally
The Chattanooga District UMM will gather have a rally at Brainerd UMC on March 25 beginning at 4 pm.
The Day With The Bishop
On Saturday March 10 the conference UMM will have their annual day with the bishop at Concord UMC in Knoxville. The program begins at 9 am. More information is available at www.holston.org.
SPPR, LayLeader, and Administrative Council Chairperson Training
District Superintendent Mike Hubble will conduct training for all 2012 SPPR committee members on Sunday January 22 from 3 - 5 pm a Brainerd UMC.
At the same time and at Brainerd UMC, District Lay Leader Becky Hall will lead a training session for lay leaders and administrative chairs

Lay Speaker Training
The district will sponser lay speaker training on Friday April 13 from 6:30 - 9pm and Saturday, April 14 from 9 - 4:30 pm at Brainard UMC. Please see www.holston.org/events/2012/apr/chattanooga-district-lay-speaker-training/ for more information.
Sewing Class
Bonnie Cayce has started a beginner sewing class every Thursday in January and February from 6-8 pm. You will need to bring your own sewing machine. If interested please call Bonnie at 423 - 227 - 0423
Helping Those in Need
The Outreach Ministries Team is currently helping several families in the church with rent payments, electricity bulls, medical appointments and prescriptions. If you could help financially with these needs, please give either to Donna Franklin or Ruth Stanley or pout in the collection plate with the designation: family needs.
Officer Training
We will have officer training on February 5 at 3 pm. All officers are asked to attend.
