Christmas Day Services

Our Christmas day services will be begin at 10 am with brunch in the fellowship.  Immediately following we will have a combined worship service.  Children may come in pj's. 

Christmas Eve Service

The Children and youth will present their annual Christmas plays on Saturday, December 24 at 7 pm.

Sunday Morning Cantata

The choir will bring their Christmas cantata to the church on Sunday, December 18 at the 11 am service.

Christmas Candlelight Service

The Christmas candlelight service and cantata will be Wednesday, December 14, at 7 PM.  Come join us for a wonderful night of worship.

Christmas Senior Luncheon

The senior Christmas Luncheon is scheduled for Tuesday, December 13 at 12.  Come join us for a wonderful meal and wonderful fellowship.

Community Christmas Service

The churches of New Salem will hold their annual Christmas service Sunday, December 4 at 6 PM at the New Salem Community Center.  Everyone is invite to come and join us.  We will have finger foods and desserts as well as caroling.

Volunteers for Assisting Tornado Victims

Dade Organization Acting inn Disaster is asking for volunteers to help on a weekly or daily basis in assistance to tornado victims.

Benefit Concert for Tornado Victims

There will be a benefit concert at Dade County High School Auditorium featuring Norman and Nancy Blake on November 19 at 7pm. Tickets are $15 each. All proceeds go to benefit tornado disaster victims.

Update on UMW Bazaar

The UMW bazaar will be held on November 19, 9am - 2pm. Please join us for chili and taco soup. Come select your Christmas gifts. Featuring crafts and homemade canned and baked goods for your Thanksgiving dinner. Drawing for a beautiful hand sewn quilt made by Faye Nichols. Sarah Moore and Barbara Bradford are the contacts for donations on the quilt. Crafts and baked goods are needed. The new Christmas UMW cookbooks are finished and will be on sale for $12.

UMW Pennies for Missions

The UMW saved pennies for missions in the amount of $131.63. As pennies were placed in the jar daily a prayer was said for missions.

UMW Bazaar

The UMW bazaar will be held November 19. Quilt tickets are now available. See Sarah Moore or Barbara Bradford for tickets. Donations of crafts, baked goods, canned goods, and other items would be much appreciated.

Christmas Shoe Boxes

The due date for the Christmas shoe boxes is Sunday November 13. There are still a few empty boxes in the sanctuary if you need one. Remember also we need around $450 to pay for the shipping of all those boxes. If you would like to help with that part, please give the money to Donna Franklin or Ruth Stanley.

Choir Cantata

The choir has begun preparing their cantata for Christmas. Practice is on Sunday nights at 8pm and Wednesday nights at 7pm. All singers are welcome to come and participate in the cantata.

The King's Kids and the youth have begun play practice for their Christmas plays. Both groups practice their plays on Sunday nights at 6pm.

Christmas Shoe Box project

It is time for the Christmas Shoe box project. Please take a shoe box from the sanctuary. Inside will be all the instructions you need. Fill the box and bring it back sometime during the next two weeks. Deadline Sunday is November 13. It twill take $7 for shipping of each shoe box. So if you prefer to give money rather than buying items, you can give the money to Donna Franklin or Ruth Stanley. DO NOT put money in the shoebox.
